Welcome, Veronica!!

Congratulations to Katrina and Jerry! Veronica Louise arrived naturally at 1:05 a.m. weighing in at 7 lb 6 oz! If you're friend or family to Katrina, I'm pretty sure she'll post more pictures at her blog, but for now, here is a sweet, sleeping Veronica!

Goldilocks

A public plea to my little sister, Katrina... You're going to help me with this hair, right?! This is Rachael after her bath, and this is how her hair stays until she lays on it. Or sits in her carseat. I refuse to mousse her baby hair... I think.

And yesterday I got bold and attempted piggy tails in that hair.

She would take them out from time to time, but would always let me put them back in until the end of the day. She had quite an interesting look going for her then, but it was easy enough to wet her hair and get the springy, bouncy curls back!

This hair is going to be fun!

The End of an Era

Yesterday was Grace's end of the year program at preschool. Neither Grace nor Rachael had much fun during the ceremony... This is Rachael before the program started, she just was not a happy camper! Poor Nana didn't get to see much of anything because she graciously took Rachael out for a little walk around the entire church. Cousin It there is actually Grace. This year is an improvement though -- last year at the program she turned her back to the audience! If she has any of Mommy's inclinations for performing in public, she absolutely hasn't grown into them yet! Rachael, however, decided to try to climb up on the stage after the director of the preschool had started speaking. Ai-yi-yi!

But things improved afterwards!

Grace has had such a wonderful experience at her preschool the past two years, we are so blessed to have such an amazing school at our church! Her teachers have just shown her so much love and she's learned so much! Both teachers are women that I've been so fortunate to know throughout most of my life in the church. This year's teacher especially has a special place in my heart, she's made me feel like family since I was 15-years-old. In the fall Grace will head to VPK (Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten) at the same preschool her daddy and Aunt Lisa went to. How fun is that?

Look out Summer, here we come!

My Husband Rocks!

Well, it was Chris' birthday this weekend but I'm the one that got the gifts today -- a couple of belated Mother's Day presents arrived! I heard about this website (I think from Katrina), From*me Tees, and I told many people about these great t-shirts and soon enough saw four friends wearing their own, and heard of another friend who'd received one as a gift. I was getting antsy for my own and I may have e-mailed the link to the site to Chris at least half a dozen times as a not-so-subtle hint!

He had some trouble figuring out the sizes (ladies' cut? junior cut? what's a guy to think?), so after figuring out what I would wear he went ahead and placed the order, so I will finally be proudly declaring my love and devotion to my absolutely amazing husband on these t-shirts:
